MAJ Rachel Beck is a 2015 graduate from the Harvard Kennedy School and an active duty Major in the U.S. Army. Rachel was commissioned as an intelligence officer, completing one tour in northern Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. She now serves as a Strategist working on the Army Staff at the Pentagon.
Rachel also holds a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University and has experience working in a municipal planning department. Her study interests include the impact of urbanization on future conflicts, resilient cities, and the interaction between military bases and their neighboring communities.
